System Update Notice

The West Virginia RN Board is updating its license processing system. The new update will offer many new features for the nurse as well as the public. We will experience some necessary down time as a result of the transition to the new licensing system.

License processing will be suspended at the close of business (4:00 PM EST) on Thursday, February 28, 2019.

License processing will resume at 8:00AM EST on Monday, March 11, 2019.

How will this affect me?

Most actively-licensed RNs and APRNs will not be affected. Applications for New license, Reinstatement, Inactivate/Retire, Multistate Conversion and Advanced Practice/RXA will not be able to be processed or updated with new information during this time. When the system comes back online March 11, 2019 license processing will resume.

Nurse Portal

We will post information for creating your Nurse Portal account after the new system goes online.

License Verification

New links will be provided for the License Verification system. If you have the current link bookmarked you will need to change it to the new link after it is posted.

During the transition, newly-issued licenses can be verified on this page:

These individuals have met all the requirements and have been issued a Registered Nurse license. They will be issued a license number after our software migration is complete.
