The West Virginia Board of Nursing has partnered with Birchwood Solutions to provide support to
nurses throughout the State of West Virginia.
We invite you to join others in a safe and confidential space where you can discuss factors in healthcare that impact your mental health and well-being. This online community provides access to resources, peer support groups, and new ways to connect with others who understand your experiences. Each group is guided by experienced facilitators and focused on helping you navigate the challenges of nursing at every stage of your journey.
All groups are virtual and free to all participants.
Available Programs
West Virginia Nursing Students
Students face many challenges, and the Board is offering you an opportunity to join other nursing students in a safe and confidential atmosphere to discuss your experiences as a nursing student.
West Virginia Early Career Nurses (0-3 years of experience)
Support groups for nurses from NCLEX completion through the first three years of practice provide a safe place to connect with others who share your experiences. Discuss the challenges of being a new nurse in today’s healthcare environment and learn that you are not alone.
West Virginia Nurses (4+ years of experience)
Meet with nurses from across West Virginia and discover shared understanding and support. Whether you are experiencing burnout, struggling with work-life balance, or seeking advice, join your peers in a safe and confidential environment designed to help you thrive in your career.
