The West Virginia Board of Registered Nurses has published the final Nursing Shortage Study Commission Report in accordance with W. Va. Code §30-7-18.
Established by the West Virginia Legislature to examine the state's nursing workforce crisis, the Commission analyzed current workforce data and developed strategic recommendations to enhance nursing education, recruitment, retention, and regulatory policy across the Mountain State.
The full 145-page publication includes comprehensive findings along with detailed appendices covering RN supply and demand data, statewide survey results, and governor workforce initiative updates.
