Lapsed License Lists
Pursuant to West Virginia Board regulations, licenses not renewed prior to the annual deadline are placed in lapsed status. Practicing on a lapsed license in the State of West Virginia is strictly prohibited by law.
âšī¸ Important Note for APRNs and Employers
An active West Virginia RN license is a mandatory prerequisite to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Following the close of the RN renewal cycle, any APRN who did not renew their underlying RN license will appear on the RN Lapsed License List. Lists published under the separate APRN accordion specifically reflect non-renewals from the dedicated APRN renewal cycle.
